Cavern Diver

The IAC Cavern Diver course is the first stage in the three-part cave diving training at IAC, which closes with the Full Cave certification. Within this course the diving will be exclusively in Zone 1 and in open water. Leaving the daylight zone is not part of the course. The students gets a first insight into cave diving techniques and puts him in position to carry out safe dives in zone 1.

The dives are limited by a max. depth of 25 meters, however, the way to the water surface shall not exceed a maximal distance of 50 meters. The cave must have no constriction. The Way into the cave is always the return path. Crossings and the diving on of branches within the cave are not allowed. The entire training can be completed with a Mono-DTG with at least 10 liters (2000 Bar), required is a regulator with Octopus.

At water temperatures below 10 ° C, the DTG must be fitted with a separately stoppable double valve. The two complete regulators (1st and 2nd stage) must comply with the EN250Norm. To protect against hypothermia a drysuit is to be used at these temperatures. During the training, it is not necessary to use nitrox as the breathing gas. Should Nitrox be used, a Nitrox Basic certification is mandatory. Decompression dives are not allowed during the training.
